3 Anti-HD Intrabodies

In order to counteract the primary effects of the misfolding mutant protein fragment, the most promising approaches to date have utilized single-chain Fvs (scFvs) and single-domain (Dabs or nanobodies). Peptide antigens on both the N-terminal and C-terminal regions in close proximity to the misfolding polyQ have been used in selections from phage and yeast display libraries, or the relevant binding sites have been cloned from mouse monoclonal antibodies. The diagram below shows the selection targets for constructs that have been tested in situ and in vivo as immunotherapeutics.
